Buddha Statue - Earth Witness Mudra - Solid Bronze 21"

This beautifully cast bronze Buddha statue is a reproduction of a Buddha from the beginning of the Sukothai art period (central Thailand in the early 12th century). The Sukothai art period is considered by scholars and art historians to be the apogee of Thai art. The simple lines and "flame of enlightenment" coming from the top of the head, provides a sense of Noble tranquility and peace. Depicted in the "Earth Mudra",the Buddha reaches down with his right hand to call the Earth to witness the moment of his complete enlightenment.

This impressive bronze Buddha statue is of a full 21" high 14" wide and 7" deep and weighs approximately 27 lbs. The statue will make a perfect focal point of any room or sacred space.
