Dharmachakra Buddha

Carved in beautiful hard wood in Bali by a master carver, this Buddha sits in the full lotus position on a lotus throne. His hands are in the Dharmachakra, or gesture of teaching, which symbolizes the setting of the Wheel of Dharma (Buddha's Teaching) in motion. At that moment, the Buddha's students begin to follow the path of knowledge, compassion and wisdom which will lead them toward total enlightenment. It is 16" high and 12" wide.
